Vocalist Véronique Joly and saxophonist Terry Quinney present a trio (also available as a quartet and quintet) which plays the cool Bossa Nova sounds of Stan Getz and Astrud & Joao Gilberto. Saxophonist Stan Getz and guitarist João Gilberto recorded their iconic “Getz/Gilberto” album in 1964, playing the music of Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim. The album also features the vocals of Astrud Gilberto; her crystal clear vocal style, with the softly lilting rhythms of the Bossa Nova, enchanted a generation.
